About Us

Our Story

Ragnarok Ranch LLC is a small, family owned and operated ranch located in Locust Grove Ok. We raise

several diverse types of animals including kunekune pigs, dorper sheep, Nigerian dwarf goats, and

assorted rabbits and chickens. We have a couple small humans running around as well! It was in fact our

youngest that began our beef jerky journey.

Our Beginning: After much trial and error, sleepless nights, heartbreaking visits with the

pediatrician, and several months of constant prayer we discovered that our youngest is allergic to corn. If

you haven’t read a label lately, you should, there’s a 75% chance that there is corn in it (especially the

“diaper bag-stable” snacks that are essential to life with littles). After many more breakdowns in the

grocery store because our son couldn’t have any of it, a solution presented itself. This particular blessing

came in the form of a meat gun. While most store-bought options still contain corn, we began making our

own beef jerky. It was cheaper than we thought because we were able to use ground beef in-leu of sliced

muscle, we knew it was healthy because we decided what went into it, and the best part....... It’s diaper

bag-stable!!!! Pretty soon we had friends and family offering to purchase it from us which in turn gave us

a way to support the growing jerky addiction in our house!! From there things just grew. For the entirety

of our marriage, we have always prayed for a way to be with our children, enrich our community, and a way to be the

light of God. However, even after years of “Be still,” we were not ready when he said run! We are still in

the beginning stages of what God has in store for our journey and we are so excited to see where this will

lead!

Our Product: All our beef jerky is made from local beef raised and butchered by D-Bar Beef in

Pryor Ok. We strive to offer as healthy of an option as possible, our jerky is as low sodium as you can be

and still have a salt-cured jerky. The only flavor that we offer that has any sugar in it at all is our

Mandarin Teriyaki which has ~2.4g sugar per 1/4lbs (this is one of our $6 bags).

Our Commitment to Community: We try to be the light of God in our community and love

others as Jesus taught us to love. One way we try to spread this light to others is by providing space for

local artisans, crafters, hobbyists, and other small businesses to showcase and sell their goods. Another

way we have committed to showing this love is by organizing a monthly raffle. Every month we collect

donations from local businesses and place them in a raffle to be given away to one winner on the last day

of the month. The tickets are $5 each and all the money raised is donated to the Locust Grove School

Lunch Program. We hope that by doing this each month we will be able to someday cover all the school lunch program
